ZenFlow Yoga was founded in 2015 by Maya Williams and David Chen, two passionate yoga practitioners who shared a vision of creating a studio that combined the depth of traditional yoga with a modern, accessible approach. After traveling extensively throughout India, Thailand, and Japan to deepen their practice and study with renowned masters, they returned with a clear mission: to create a sanctuary where people could disconnect from digital distractions and reconnect with themselves through mindful movement and breath.
Beginning with a single small studio and just three teachers, ZenFlow quickly gained a reputation for its high-quality instruction, welcoming atmosphere, and transformative classes. Students were drawn to our unique blend of physical challenge, philosophical depth, and community support.
By 2018, we had expanded to our current location in the heart of Okinawa, a purpose-designed space featuring three beautiful practice rooms, state-of-the-art amenities, and a dedicated meditation garden. Our teaching staff grew to include specialists in various yoga traditions, from dynamic Vinyasa to restorative Yin, therapeutic applications to advanced asana.
Through the challenges of recent years, including the global pandemic that temporarily moved many yoga practices online, we remained committed to the value of in-person instruction. We implemented enhanced safety protocols and flexible scheduling to ensure that our community could continue to experience the irreplaceable benefits of practicing together in a shared space.
Today, ZenFlow Yoga stands as a beacon for authentic yoga practice in our community. With thousands of dedicated students, a diverse schedule of classes and workshops, and a growing reputation for excellence in teacher training, we continue to evolve while remaining true to our founding vision: transforming lives through the time-honored practice of yoga.
